Did American keep any of it's rail arty. or were they all scrapped? Forget about the one on display in Ft. Eustis that was captured from the Germans.

when i looked for the wikipedia articles I put up, I think I figured out that dalgren had an 8-inch piece. ? thats why I started a surviving artifact section on the wiki articles. try surfing around on them. as well as the survivors list on here.

Washington Navy Yard has the 14 inch Railway gun there

There is also an 8" in Tampa - without the railroad car.

I remember hearing about an 8 inch Railway Gun car that was found out in Washington. It was being used for decades in a shipyard out there.
Anyone one know of this? How can we support the chance of getting the Car and the Dalgren Gun together?

If I remember right a railroad museum up in the Northwest has it - in use as a heavy duty flatcar.
