Not an expert in the field, but I noticed a couple typos in the first sentence.

Quote:
The Gun Data Computer is a series of Artillery computers used by the U.S. Army, for Coastal artillery, field Artillery, and Antiaircraft artillery applications. in antiaircraft applications thay are used in conjunction with a Director (military).

Gun Data Computers were only used by seacoast artillery.

There were, at most, only three GUN DATA COMPUTERS:
M1 for 12 and 16-inch barbette guns
M8 for 6 & 8-Inch and 155mm guns
M9 (a variation of the MCool for the 90mm AMTB gun.

* Note: The M9 GDC computer for 90mm gun appears in the 1944 version of TM 9-2300, but not the 1949 version. This MAY have been confused with the M9 DIRECTOR.

The M3/M4 is a computer, but not a GUN DATA COMPUTER. They were part of the M9 & M10 AA directors.

During WW2, at least, there were no field artillery GUN DATA COMPUTERS. AA guns did not use GDCs, but directors, which were similar. Indeed, the M8 GDC was based on the AA directors. The nomenclature, however, was different.
