heres the report from 2006.
looks like theres some kind of awning on the front. dont know if the tradoc paper pushers are still in there or not?
would have thot thay would have left by now.
but the army always drags its but on these things.
I remember back in the 80s when thay moved our unit out of fort lawton. thay told us the building was being torn down.
25 years later my cousin tells me his unit was in the building. but just got moved out becouse thay were going to tear it down.
Laughing
guess thay finally did becouse its not there on google sat any more.

I might be thinking of the wrong building - isn't this the "school" building?

yah i think thats the one the postcards show when you do a google search.
http://www.google.com/imgres?q=coast+artillery+school&um=1&hl=en&rlz=1W1ADRA_enUS432&biw=1024&bih=540&tbm=isch&tbnid=eeLBn7d_rw6hDM:&imgrefurl=http://www.cardcow.com/viewall/67753/&docid=H_RP1vI4Qj3hJM&imgurl=http://www.cardcow.com/images/set381/thumbs/card00352_fr.jpg&w=250&h=160&ei=GyfBTuukN6Oo2wWjo8mBBQ&zoom=1&iact=hc&vpx=310&vpy=208&dur=1953&hovh=128&hovw=200&tx=139&ty=95&sig=106326591386573286059&page=3&tbnh=111&tbnw=173&start=20&ndsp=10&ved=1t:429,r:1,s:20

not sure what the little building is/was some sort of anex?
I need to read the commandants report closer.

Sorry - no clue....Fort Monroe is a little outside my area (Long Island Sound / Narragansett Bay). The "schoolhouse" was pointed out to me, and I recognised it from the post cards you mentioned.
